Customer scans your Zapper QR code
The customer opens their partner crypto app and scans your existing Zapper QR code like they would with any other Zapper payment. Nothing looks different on your end.
The partner app handles the crypto
The customer’s app converts their cryptocurrency into the payment amount. All the technical complexity, like exchange rates, conversion, and verification, is handled entirely within their app.
You receive your normal settlement
The payment is confirmed, and you receive your funds through Zapper as usual. Same settlement process, same Rand amounts, same timeline.
You never deal with crypto.
Only Rands. Full stop.

No action is needed. Participating crypto wallet compatibility is already built into your Zapper QR code. There’s nothing to activate, install, or apply for. If a customer scans your QR with a supported crypto app, it will work automatically. And you won’t even tell the difference from your side.
No, you always receive South African Rands via Zapper, just as you do for all other transactions. The conversion from crypto to Rands happens within the customer’s partner app, before the payment reaches Zapper. Cryptocurrency never enters your account.
A crypto payment is processed identically to any other Zapper payment – you receive Rands, you’re never exposed to cryptocurrency, and your customers get one more way to pay you. If you have any concerns, your account manager is happy to discuss.
They appear as standard Zapper payments, denominated in Rands. Your reporting process remains unchanged. You’re likely already accepting crypto transactions without even knowing it.
No additional fees apply to crypto-originated payments. Zapper’s standard transaction fees apply. Contact your account manager if you have specific questions about your pricing.
The payment simply won’t go through via that app, but they’ll still be able to pay using the regular Zapper app or any other supported method. There’s no disruption to your normal checkout process.
Yes, Zapper is actively growing its partner network. New wallets and apps will be added over time. You’ll benefit automatically. No action required on your side when new partners are added.
